  4. I've had so much joy reading through your entire blog. I've wanting to do so for so long and I finally took the time. I've been reading and learning about natural dyeing for a while now, but I want to take the next step and prepare for my first ever dye! I'm beyond excitement. There's only one step I want to go through and that's my backing up material, meaning good books! Do you recommend certain books?

Thank you! Have a great day! :)

  6. Gorgeous colours, gorgeous textiles and gorgeous photos! I've found this blog and your work to be so very inspiring . . . I have just started using natural dyes again . . . there is nothing quite like taking fabric from the dye pot, carefully cutting away the stitched and bound thread and then seeing the results . . . I have achieved some beautiful colours on silk with the bark from an Iron bark (no mordant) . . . I will be stitching and screen-printing this shibori dyed silk in preparation for an exhibition opening on October 1st . . . thank you for reigniting my passion for natural dyes!

  7. Hi,
I've notice you have gorgeous colours with natural dyeing.
I tried to dye some silk with avocado skins because i found your colours absolutely beautiful. But I think i missed something because my silk is very pale and not pink at all. So i was wondering of you have any recipe or if you could tell me in a few words how you proceeded for your avocado skin dyeing ?
    Thanks :)
